Job Description
HackerEarth is seeking a self-driven and curious Programming Problem Setter to join its content team. You’ll design challenging algorithmic and real-life programming problems for hackathons and technical assessments, contributing to the company’s developer-centric products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create problems in data structures, algorithms, and math across difficulty levels
- Develop real-life programming challenges and review others' problem statements
- Test existing problems for correctness and adherence to guidelines
- Add code stubs to coding environments to focus candidates on logic, not syntax
- Respond to candidate queries, feedback, and suggestions
- Collaborate with technical documentation teams to fix context or grammar issues
Skills Required
- Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, and mathematics
- Strong profile on coding platforms (e.g., HackerEarth, Codeforces, LeetCode, CodeChef, SPOJ)
- Prior experience in creating or testing programming problems is a plus
