Job Description
- Monitor SQL Server databases and related jobs, alerts, and scheduled tasks.
- Assist in maintenance activities like backups, restores, health checks, and performance monitoring.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot database-related issues, and escalate when required.
- Support deployment activities, configuration changes, and environment management as per guidelines.
- Document standard operating procedures, recurring issues, and resolution steps for the team.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
- Understanding of RDBMS fundamentals, tables, queries, indexes, and backups
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, PHP, or Python
- Familiarity with Windows Server or Linux environments and basic networking concepts
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to work in shift-based or production support environments and learn DevOps practices
Eligibility
- Engineering graduates or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- 0–1 year of experience (freshers can apply)
