About the Job
- Work within Cloudflare’s Experimentation & Data Capture Engineering team to build systems that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Contribute to full-stack development: front-end, back-end, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), system design, and data processing for web products.
- Participate in design, development, testing and deployment of features end-to-end in a high-scale, serverless environment.
- Collaborate across product, design, data, and compliance teams to deliver features and ensure data privacy compliance.
Job Description
- Lead the technical delivery of experimentation and data capture capabilities for customer-facing UI properties.
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain code — including SDKs, UI components, serverless functions (Cloudflare Workers / AWS Lambda / similar).
- Design and run A/B tests and experiments to optimize product KPIs (onboarding, adoption, retention, etc.).
- Work with data pipelines or data-warehouse solutions (e.g. ClickHouse, data lakes) to capture and analyze user interaction data.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) when handling data capture and analytics workflows.
- Mentor junior team members, review code, and contribute to feature and architecture discussions as needed.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (front-end and SDK/component development)
- Comfort with serverless or high-scale serverless systems (e.g. Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda)
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Go, Rust, or Python (backend / data-processing languages)
- Experience or familiarity with data-warehouse or data-lake technologies and SQL/data querying
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and high-scale data processing systems
- Ability to design and execute A/B tests and measure product KPIs with data-driven approaches
- Awareness of data privacy and compliance norms (GDPR, CCPA etc.) when dealing with user data
- Good communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
