About the Role:
- Support day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations on the shop floor.
- Assist production engineers in process planning and workflow optimization.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
- Collect, analyze, and report production, downtime, and quality data.
- Help track and improve KPIs such as OEE, throughput, and defect rates.
- Support root-cause analysis for production or quality issues.
- Assist in implementation of process improvements and automation projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and process sheets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, maintenance, supply chain).
- Gain hands-on exposure to industrial equipment and manufacturing systems.
Skills Required:
- Strong fundamentals in manufacturing and production engineering.
- Understanding of industrial processes and assembly operations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, TPM, OEE).
- Basic mechanical drawing and engineering interpretation.
- Data analysis using MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, reporting).
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Quality tools awareness (7 QC tools, SPC basics).
- Technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Communication and teamwork in industrial environment.
- Willingness to work in shop-floor manufacturing setup.
Eligibility:
- BE / B.Tech Mechanical / Industrial / Production.
- Fresh graduates.
- Minimum ~60% academics.
- Interest in manufacturing engineering.
