About the Role:
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on large-scale systems handling millions of requests and contribute to Agoda’s global travel platform using modern technologies and engineering practices.
- Work on scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Develop APIs and backend/frontend components.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams.
- Work across full product lifecycle.
- Gain exposure to AI/ML-driven features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality, scalable, and efficient code.
- Develop and maintain APIs and backend services.
- Work with modern frameworks and technologies.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and testing practices.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with teams on product development.
- Contribute to monitoring and performance optimization.
Tech Stack / Tools:
- Languages: Scala, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#
- Frontend: ReactJS
- Data: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spark
- Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, TeamCity
- Concepts: Distributed systems, APIs, system scaling
Skills Required:
- Strong fundamentals in OOP or functional programming.
- Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Java, Scala, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of ReactJS or backend development.
- Exposure to AI/ML tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with distributed systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Pursuing B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or related fields.
- Must be available for at least 4–6 months internship.
- Strong interest in software engineering.
Selection Process:

- Interview Rounds (Onsite): May 2026
