About the Role:
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will work with product and engineering teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability. You will focus on automation, monitoring, and improving system availability using SRE principles.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams.
- Define and manage SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and capacity.
- Automate operational tasks to reduce manual effort.
- Work on incident response and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor system performance and reliability.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis.
- Build automation tools to reduce operational toil.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system improvements.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure enhancements.
- Ensure systems meet performance and availability standards.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
- Programming or scripting skills (Python, Java, Bash).
- Understanding of networking concepts (HTTP, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Knowledge of DevOps / SRE concepts.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
- Interest in system reliability, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
