About the Role:
As a Semantic Data Modeler, you will design and implement ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs to create a unified semantic data layer. You will work with structured and unstructured data to build AI-ready data systems.
- Work on semantic data modeling and knowledge representation.
- Build AI-ready data structures and systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists.
- Design enterprise-wide semantic layers.
- Work on advanced data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs.
- Build semantic abstraction layers for enterprise data.
- Map relational data (SQL/RDBMS) to semantic models.
- Develop canonical data vocabularies across domains.
- Use tools like Protégé, PoolParty, and TopBraid Composer.
- Ensure adherence to semantic standards (RDF, OWL, SKOS).
- Collaborate with stakeholders for data modeling needs.
- Support metadata management and semantic search systems.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
- Understanding of ER modeling and database concepts.
- Experience with semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SKOS).
- Knowledge of SPARQL, SHACL, and knowledge graphs.
- Familiarity with ontology/taxonomy tools (Protégé, PoolParty).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python or data engineering tools.
- Knowledge of R2RML or Linked Data modeling.
