About the Role:
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will work on building scalable payment systems and APIs that power Modulr’s embedded finance platform.
- Develop backend services for fintech platforms.
- Build scalable and secure payment systems.
- Work with APIs and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams.
- Contribute to product innovation in fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Work on system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile processes.
- Debug and troubleshoot system issues.
Skills Required:
- programming languages (Java, Golang, or C#).
- Knowledge of Java 8+, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks.
- Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with REST APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of databases and backend systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in fintech or payments domain.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Freshers or candidates with relevant experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals.
