About the Role:
As a DevOps & SRE Apprentice, you will work with engineering teams to build reliable, scalable systems. You will gain exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and incident management processes.
- Work on cloud-based infrastructure and production systems.
- Support DevOps and SRE practices.
- Learn automation and system reliability concepts.
- Collaborate with developers and platform teams.
- Gain hands-on experience in real-world systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Write automation scripts to reduce manual tasks.
- Maintain documentation such as runbooks and SOPs.
- Collaborate with teams to improve system reliability and performance.
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP).
- Understanding of cloud computing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash).
- Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
- Awareness of CI/CD concepts.
- Interest in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Basic knowledge of distributed systems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 1 year experience.
- Must be eligible under Apprenticeship Act and registered on NATS portal.
- Strong interest in DevOps, Cloud, or SRE roles.
