About the Role:
As a Cyber Security Analyst L1, you will work in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment to monitor systems, detect threats, and respond to security incidents. You will help protect organizational data and ensure system security.
- Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support cybersecurity operations and incident handling.
- Work in a 24x7 SOC environment.
- Analyze security alerts and logs.
- Assist in improving security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and safeguard log sources and system access.
- Detect and respond to cyber threats and unauthorized activities.
- Perform log analysis and basic forensic investigation.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analysis.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Escalate critical incidents to higher-level teams.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning.
- Create reports, dashboards, and documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on security issues.
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools (SIEM).
- Understanding of log analysis and incident response.
- Awareness of threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SOC operations.
