About the Role:
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will work with the data platform team to build and improve data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics systems used across the company.
- Work on ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Gain experience with big data tools and cloud systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on production systems.
- Work on real-world data engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Work with PySpark and Databricks for data processing.
- Build and debug Airflow workflows (DAGs).
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
- Contribute to internal tools and libraries.
- Optimize data workflows and performance.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Understanding of databases and data flow concepts.
- Basic knowledge of data engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Knowledge of Airflow or workflow orchestration tools.
- Projects related to data engineering or analytics.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Pursuing B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong programming and database fundamentals.
- Interest in data engineering and analytics systems.
