About the Role:
As a Data Center Technician, you will support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware in Microsoft’s data centers.
- Work on server and network hardware.
- Support deployment and maintenance activities.
- Ensure data center operations run smoothly.
- Collaborate with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues.
- Perform diagnostics and replace components.
- Follow safety and security procedures.
- Maintain documentation and complete assigned tickets.
- Support deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams.
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of data center operations (basic).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with server or IT hardware.
- Knowledge of networking and cabling.
- Certifications like CompTIA (A+, Network+, Server+).
Eligibility Criteria:
- High School / Diploma / Vocational qualification or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware.
